Annual Parish Mission – Frederick, MD
On February 24-26, 2014, Father William Fickel, SSS, and Blessed Sacrament Associates Frank and Marjorie Zalar will lead the Annual Parish Mission in preparation for Lent. Fr. Anthony Marshall, SSS Father Anthony Marshall will be preaching a mission in Lewes, Delaware, March 7-11. Father Anthony Schueller and Mr. Jim Brown will be preaching an evening retreat at Saint Joseph Church in Eldersburg, Maryland. Marianist Father Neville O’Donohue, the pastor, was introduced to Eymardian spirituality by Marjorie and Frank Zalar (lay associates) when he sat in on a parish mission they and Father Bill Fickel presented last February at the Zalar’s parish in Frederick, Maryland. The theme of the retreat at Saint Joseph is “I will go to the altar of God!”

On March 14-18, Father Bill Fickel, former director of the CEE and current pastor of Saint Vincent de Paul Parish in Holiday, Florida, will be preaching a Lenten mission at Holy Redeemer Church in Long Island, New York. The theme of the retreat is “Encountering God’s Love in the Eucharist.” A parishioner and lay associate at Saint Vincent de Paul is responsible for arranging this mission.

On March 15-17, Father Anthony Schueller will be joined by Mary Muehle, a lay associate and parishioner of Saint Paschal Baylon Church, Cleveland, OH, to preach a Lenten Mission at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish in Ashtabula, Ohio. The theme is “Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus.” The mission begins on Sunday evening and continues with presentations in the morning and evening on Monday and Tuesday. Associates at SPB Annual Retreat
The Associates at Saint Paschal Baylon will be holding their Annual Retreat for Associates on Saturday 16 November at the parish. Gather for lunch in the SSS Community Room at 11:30am. Reflection/Prayer will follow from 1:00-4:00pm in Saint Ann's Shrine. We will finish with the parish Mass at 4:30pm at which we will welcome the new Associates group as they make their Promise Commitment. RSVP to the parish office at 440-442-3410.
